Balancing Bliss

seattle....

actually it's not even seattle but it sure beats saying the outskirts of tacoma now doesn't it?

brian took a couple of days off so he could take his family to his parents... the kids love it. sugar cereal and wii, ds, netflix and now .....wait for it...

luci will probably be asking santa for an ipad this year... she packed that thing around everywhere . which is funny because as she scrolled through netflix on the ipad i couldn't even turn on their tv! in my defense there are 3 remotes.

mina had only met them for a drop by visit once and she didn't even have her own little personality yet so it was nice to share our little one. what was really special about this trip was miss mina meeting great grandma max.... she was named after maxine's sister mina.

my highlight of washington trips is to krispy kreme... 2 dozen on the way in... 2 dozen on the way home... it was a first for mina... i'm sure she will remember it forever...hee!

she should... it was her first solid food... yummmm

not really...just a lick of glaze...aaaahhh the fourth child...

luci has a memory of making cinnamon rolls with grandpa walker she hold onto so when she goes she asks everytime... he took the time to do so patiently with her... something momma can't seem to do these days so it was really special for her... love to see her tiny little hands working with his.

the boys just game the whole time we are there so i don't know if they even got a picture this time around... besides eli blu trying to break through the doors at krispy kreme that is ...

i have been behind this thing... i just can't ever type with 2 hands which i prefer while blogging... mina is having some issues... they take up both hands, all my time, and i don't think i will take her on vacation for awhile... her schedule is shot, my milk supplyis having issues, and she just wants ME. 

but i swear i have been behind my lens the whole time... more to come;

lazy weekends fill my heart....

this weekend we soaked up the comfort of just being...well, brian and i did...luci went to 2 birthday parties and tried to get me to take her to a 3rd!

this boy had a middle school dance friday night;

and spent the rest of the weekend with his ds because he had been grounded from it for weeks until he got caught up in math... thank God (not in vain) for brian and his help in middle school math... if i were still a single mom i don't know what i would do...

this picture almost brought me to tears because i don't know when it happened... my babies are off with plans of their own.. and it's JUST starting... oh how minie brings back all the baby moments and years of starting over...love her.

we got to go have dinner with just our eli blu..(baby went but slept) ...he asked if he could spend some of his birthday $ on fried rice the other night while i was making dinner... not insulted at all ... so we took him out for chinese (we paid) and then to the mall so he could spend some of his birthday $. video games of course.

he made his very own DVR... why? it makes him happy and i will just be happy that he is happy w/o any understanding of why....

sissy pants missed her sister after being away...

what? i'm spoiled... and?

we spent the weekend in our jammies.... just hanging out... movies.... new video games... facebook and so on... JUST BEING...

see my birthday present above the mantle? after 1 1/2yrs i got a mirror for the fireplace. i love it. glad i didn't settle on any mirror. gaven doesn't understand why i keep redecorating the mantle. little does he know it's the only thing i can keep clean in this entire house no matter how hard i try these days!

my joy in life is making our house our home... it has been all i can do just to keep the kitchen counters cleaned off and the bathroom sanitized.... which is more than the 1 load of laundry a day i was doing for awhile... soon it will all come back together...

until then i will just hold her, feed her, giggle with her,  just loving her.... because before i know it my hands will be free again because she won't need me as much....

 

9yrs ago........

i was holding a brand new little boy in my arms... we had no idea if it was going to be a boy or a girl...  i didn't know how i would love anyone as much as i loved gaven... and i there he was.... AND I DID... and oh how i adore that boy...

just a highlight of tonight.....

red robins, ice-cream cake, fishing pole, mario bros 25th year edition, cards in the mail... some with cash some with coins.... coins are such a big deal to him... such a big night..

momma is exhausted....will post more later...

my understanding...

i have come to the conclusion that i will no longer EVER be caught up on my housework. i can either 1.) get caught up on laundry, dishes, vaccuming or 2.) do some extras like windows, clean out the junk drawer, decorate here and there, etc. 

these will not be done in the same week............

creative time seems to be nonexistant in my future.........

have met my nurturing quota; 1 wonderful husband, 3 great kids, 1 adorable baby, 2 good boy pups, and 3 purring kitties.........

blogging falls under the creative time slot....... doing my best to post here and there...

luci won this in a raffle at the school carnival... it's every kids dream. the first thing a child does when taken into a mcdonalds is run up to the display of toys that are in a happy meal. she WON THE DISPLAY!

eli blu put on a 'show' for us using snoopy stencils. after he was done gaven looked at me and said "i think this should be rated R for violence" ... the woodstocks just pummeled snoopy..

gaven found out that if he screws with his little sister enough that she can take him down... and oh boy did she!

at least i'm still breaking out the camera to capture our crazy life these days...
