Balancing Bliss

if you give a girl flowers......

they will make her happy every time she looks at them and she will become inspired.....

even luci got a little vase to put on her scrap table which inspired her little soul also...we have a gazillion ice cream cone pictures from this little girl lately...

 

i totally copied lizzy kartch's playlist...no wonder the woman is such a crafty superwoman!

then the sunshine came out and we just crafted the day away....

 

i finished my hoops and hung them...

 

my crafty space is coming into it's own, just as it should...with time and creative spurts..while brian is gone next week i hope to finish that butterfly curtain to my shelves and someday i would like to see a skirt around that table....unfortunately i have the $10 a yard fabric taste so i have to wait until i see the $1.99 taste for that much fabric!

 

i found this little stand at a thrift store for .99....then i put it back...then i said "it's .99 and cute and i could use it on the deck for a pot" but i like this too....i also dressed up a lamp i got with my CHRISTmas money...

 

hope to finish all my chores early tomorrow so i can spend some time to finish this;

 

it's a picture of my grandad, my dad, and myself (pregnant not fat or a little of both) just months before he died at 94....even more special...the orchard he farmed was our background...i need a title... my treasure? my roots? nothing looked right...

such a good day here....maybe it was the stress of dinner not being on my shoulders...its pizza night... blazers vs jazz.....going to go sit next to bri and thumb through these while he yells at the t.v .....

if you skip out of church and feed your kid cupcakes by 10am....;

he will rat you out by breaking out in HIVES! i had not had previous experience with hives so i didn't know what they were and overreacted by running him down to urgent care. he said "mom look at my spots" .there were a few of them but within MINUTES his legs were solid and by the time i put on my jeans and drove a mile to the office, he had them on his face, in his armpits, and up his back. it was AWFUL. they gave him benadryl and sent us home. cant wait to see that $300 bill made out to 'overreative dumbs%#*" ....

my creative bliss of cupcakes and fabric left the building.....guess we'll snuggle and watch a movie

our sick, sunny, crafty, rainy weekend....

that is how it goes....full of bliss and when it's not, making the most of what it is..

the kids brought home an AWFUL chest cold...guess who was hit the hardest with it? of course... i'm just lucky that way...my ears feel like i have been on a plane....the kind with a bad landing and your ears stay that way for days...but the sun was out and we made the most of it...3 hours in the yard to make this happen;

i love time in the yard ...it's what makes this house much more glorious than just a 70's ranch...we are still cleaning up leaves, vines, and pine cones.there are so many dreams to yet come alive here...it cant all be accomplished this year and that is becoming the reality. guess i will just keep on dreaming my little green dreams. two little beings might be responsible for sticks all over the yard too;

 

we are still in love with these two. not so much with peties shedding but am still aware everyday of how much they belong to us.

well it appears that left over 'helicopters' out of maple trees have the same affect on her;

 

our day was full of sunshine with the windows open ALL day....and today is the polar opposite;

 

the fire is roaring and there is a constant drizzle outside. we are making the most of this also... i have my new james taylor record playing that i picked up for $1 at an antique shop this week, flannel material is drying and is going to be cut into pj pants later today, and the sade kids are the luckiest little children on this Sabbath day.... momma is sick, stayed home and made this for brunch;

a little of this and that....

 january isn't a big month for the sades i guess....we are feeling good (knock on wood...no seriously if you have wood next to you do so) and just living life as it comes. there hasn't been much to blog about. i'm a visual person and without photos i just have a hard time sharing... i normally take about 30 or so photos a day...and i bet i don't have 50 for the entire month of jan so far...but i uploaded them today and came up with this;

 

found this sweet boy doing praying one day...he has the sweetest spirit...praying for his daddy to make it home safely. brian has been working a LOT of overtime and he has a new calling at church that keeps him there too, so the kids aren't seeing him as much as they are used to. which makes for big surprises at the front door when he does come home before bedtime...

 

which leaves a LOT of time for just momma and kids....sometimes doing such things;

 

torture? nope just making memories.. worth a picture?...yes...  momma going a tad bit crazy ?...yes...swore off the 4th baby this week? ...yes...change my mind by the end of the month? probably

whats been keeping me busy in a good way.....

it's amazing how much a little sunshine can make in your day...it was only for 20minutes but it got me in the mood to do my first layout in 2010...

 pioneer woman promised to send .10 for every comment ...she was to divide it by 3 and send it...but instead she felt the need was so great she sent over $2500 to EACH organization.... AND $500 to 2 different ones that were requested...AMAZING

 i also was told by a friend that you could text 90999 and type Haiti and $10 would be given to The American Red Cross and added to your phone bill...how cool is that? it was so easy. they text me back to confirm.....(it took almost 2hrs to get a text back so don't get anxious)....i felt like i helped in some little way...if anyone knows of another  please leave a comment....

 when tragic events like tsunamis, earthquakes, and floods happen it can leave us feeling helpless. PRAY. i do. but i have a hard time enjoying the everyday when i know there are others living actual hell at the same time.

for the life of me i can't do a link! what to do when my computer hubby isn't here...sigh...

just wanted to put out there that i'm here....and doing much better. i normally blog daily but i didn't have it in me when i was so sick. since then? i am just catching my breath and enjoying feeling better... there has yet to be something that seemed blog worthy... off to scrapbook and think of something blog worthy..
